New Year, New Direction: A Letter from Melody

To my dearest Active Girls

A heartfelt thank you for everyone who has supported and loved VIASWEAT for the past two and half years. To our fans, customers, friends and family: your support and belief in us are the reasons we are able to continue doing what we love doing and that is designing the best activewear for you guys! 

With all your support and love these past two years, we’ve reached a lot of amazing milestones together! From expanding our product line to opening our own showroom in downtown Taipei, we are always exploring ways to expand the brand and better our product, which is why I want to take this opportunity, especially in the new year, to share some exciting plans we have coming up!

After the birth of my daughter, my entire sense of priority shifted. I started caring (worrying) more about the world she was going to grow up in and decided to be more active in helping the environment, starting with VIASWEAT. 

This year, we will be introducing eco-friendly, biodegradable courier bags as a packaging option. Biodegradable bags are made from materials similar to starch, kapok or wood and when composted correctly, can be broken down into carbon dioxide and water with the help of microorganisms.

In addition to new packaging, we will also be exploring ways to incorporate greener fabrics into our products. Kicking this off will be our debut collection of leggings (launching soon!) made from recycled plastic bottles. Each pair of leggings will be made from the equivalent of 16 recycled plastic bottles. #upcycle

VIASWEAT becoming an environmentally sustainable brand is something that is very important to me. We hope to have your continuous support. Let’s all aim to do a little more for the environment this coming year and for generations to come.
